Driver’s Alert to Offer Geotab's GPS Technology in Fleet Safety Management Solution
LIGHTHOUSE POINT, FL and OAKVILLE, ONTARIO – Driver’s Alert, Inc., a pioneer in the fleet safety and risk reduction industries, and Geotab, Inc., the telematics management system of choice for leading local and international corporations, announced a business alliance whereby Driver’s Alert will offer Geotab’s GPS vehicle tracking hardware devices (GO5 and GO4V3) as integrated options of its fleet safety management solution. Driver’s Alert Smart Risk is a fully integrated program of driver behavior identification, online training, Web-based reporting and benchmarking.

The GO5 hardware device is truly plug and play technology. Setup is simple and the unit is entirely self-contained. It offers precise tracking and accident re-creation, as well as live vehicle data with in-vehicle audible alerts to notify drivers instantly of driving infractions. The GO5 is a small form factor, fitting into the palm of your hand. While the GO5 and GO4 have the same functionality, the GO4 provides more data points.
The GO4V3 is the ultimate enterprise solution device. It builds on the features of the GO5 with a special focus on the needs of fleets, and provides more functionality. The GO4V3 adds the ability to track drivers for productivity and safety score carding, regardless of the vehicle they are driving. Eight auxiliary inputs help separate necessary PTO (personal time off) idling from unnecessary idle time. An expansion port allows connection to third party devices, such as a Garmin navigational device, mobile data terminals and other application devices. When used with a Garmin device, it provides 2-way driver and dispatcher communications as well as satellite capabilities and much more. The GO4V3 is a more robust system that provides more data, is larger in size and requires a wire-install procedure.
