Coachmen Recalls 82 Transit Buses

WASHINGTON, D.C. --- Coachmen Industries Inc. is recalling 82 MY 2008-2009 transit buses equipped with Trans/Air air conditioning systems. 

Each Trans/Air system comes with an electrical kit and EC PC board that, if improperly installed, could overheat. An electrical failure in the air conditioner's relay board could cause overheating and pose a serious fire hazard, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said. 

Coachmen Industries will notify bus owners of the recall, and buses will be repaired free of charge by Trans/Air.
