March 08, 2011 - Press Release

ITASCA, IL - EMKAY Inc. announced the closing of the acquisition of fleet assets from JPL Vehicle Management Services Canada. EMKAY’s Canadian business has been growing over the last several years and now totals just over 20,000 total units under lease and management in Canada.
“We are pleased to expand our business in Canada, and further diversify EMKAY overall with this strategic transaction. Combining JPL and EMKAY’s mutual focus on a client-centric approach will deliver an ideal service and technology solution for all of North America,” stated Greg Tepas, EMKAY President and CEO.
EMKAY’s single cross-border client servicing structure, scalable approach, and innovative technology will enable an even stronger product offering in Canada. This includes a robust web interface, and additional new products immediately available for those looking to outsource more aspects of their fleet management. The feedback from EMKAY’s customers from this acquisition has been quite positive as they learn about EMKAY’s approach, technology and products,” stated Phil Gilmour EMKAY’s Canadian National VP Sales and Service.

In sum, EMKAY’s total North American presence now surpasses 90,000 vehicles under lease and management. “EMKAY continues to focus on providing fleet customers with innovative products and an award winning customer service platform, stated Tepas. We are looking forward to additional growth in both Canada and the U.S. as a result of this transaction.”
