Scania to Showcase Concrete Mixer Trucks for Mexican Market

October 31, 2016

Scania is teaming up with McNeilus to showcase its first concrete mixer trucks for the Mexican market. The truck was unveiled at the recent Mexican Association of Concrete Industries’ congress in Cancun.

The truck displayed at the congress is a P 310 C6x4HZ model. Scania is providing the chassis of the vehicle, while the 282 cubic foot mixer drum  was manufactured by McNeilus in Mexico, according to the company.

Scania Mexico and McNeilus, part of the Oshkosh group of companies, are planning other collaborations, including 10 more mixers and a front loader for refuse collection.

João Crema, sales director for Scania Mexico, sees the cooperation with McNeilus in Mexico as being an important step towards being able to offer Mexican customers and fleet owners sustainable solutions. The partnership plans on offering solutions that are tailor-made for infrastructure or building projects.

“The aim of this initiative is to continue our work towards integrating more energy-efficient vehicles onto our roads to reduce greenhouse gas emissions,” says Crema.

The truck has a number of benefits for commercial customers, including its fuel economy and its better turning radius, according to Scania and McNeilus.
