NEW YORK --- Crude oil prices climbed on the New York Mercantile Exchange today, despite signs that the dollar is gaining strength, United Press International reported.
Crude prices rose $1.07 in early trading to $107.30 per barrel.
Meanwhile, the average retail price for a gallon of unleaded gasoline in the United States reached a record $3.339 Monday, up from Sunday's price of $3.324.
