Jess Rabin, 68, one of the pioneers in the automotive leasing industry, died in Louis Weiss Memorial Hospital, Chicago, on June 28, 1968. He was buried in Chicago July 1.

Mr. Rabin was born in Louisville, KY, in 1900. He was graduated from the University of Chicago Law School. He entered private practice in 1925.

Twelve years ago, Rabin and other vehicle leasing industry leaders gathered in New York to lay the foundation of what later became the American Automotive Leasing Association. Rabin was named the association's first secretary, a position he held until his death.

Rabin is survived by the widow, Minna, two daughters and six grandchildren.
