On December 1, 1975, the newly enacted year-round registration system for California motorists will begin. On that date, and thereafter, any new vehicle registered for the first time in California will be assigned a renewal date 12 months ahead. On vehicles already registered, a conversion to the year-round system will be made by the assignment of an expiration date.

February 6, 1976 (the first Friday of next February) will be almost every motorist's vehicle renewal deadline - but for the last time. On payment of the 1976 renewal fee, two license plate stickers will be issued, one for the year and one for the month of the subsequent renewal.
