William Barksdale, a long-time employee of Ford Division's fleet office, died on June 4, 1988, in Gulf Shores, Alabama. Barksdale had retired from his position as Hertz Account Manger for Ford just three days earlier. He was 58, and had been with Ford for 33 years.
