Chris Brown didn’t set out to build a career in fleet; he set out to be a writer.
From growing up in Connecticut writing short stories and making videos, to working in advertising in New York and studying film in California, the goal was always the same: tell stories. Fleet just happened to be where it all came together.
What started as a temp job at Bobit turned into a 20+ year career covering an industry that never sits still. Today, as associate publisher of Automotive Fleet, Chris focuses on telling the stories that help fleets solve problems, make decisions, and keep moving.
If you see him at an event, say hello. And if you’ve got a story, a challenge, or something worth talking about, reach out. That’s where the best conversations start.
In this video, Chris shares:
• His path from aspiring writer to fleet industry storyteller
• How a temp job turned into a 20+ year career
• Why fleet is more interesting than it sounds (and never boring)
• What motivates his work today — helping real people solve real problems
• A glimpse outside of work: family life and weekends on the soccer field
