Assembling Ford's Transit Van
Ford produces 58 configurations of its full-size Transit van at the Kansas City Assembly Plant (KCAP) in Claycomo, Mo. Ford invested $1.1 billion and added 2,000 jobs to support van production and increased demand for the aluminum-body F-150 that's also built at the plant. Read the full story here. FCA's 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan
The Dodge Grand Caravan passenger minivan has provided steady fleet sales for FCA US in the commercial, government, and rental segments. The vehicle is used in van pools and as an affordable choice for airport shuttle operators. The vehicle will eventually be discontinued, but remains in the lineup through at least the 2017-MY.
