Wright Express donated 28 computers, three monitors, and 21 laptops to the Maine Computers in the Schools program, the second donation the company has made.
The laptops will go to schools in Aroostook County, where teachers will loan them out to students, according to Stephen Vose, technology specialist and project coordinator for the state program. The remaining computers will go to public schools and community libraries that have demonstrated a need for computer equipment.
In addition, Wright Express donated 10 computers, including hard drives, monitors and keyboards, to the Maine Time Dollar Network’s Intergenerational Computer Literacy Project.
