Wright Express Creates Private Label for Gate Petroleum
Gate Petroleum Co., based in Jacksonville, FL, has created its own private label fleet card with Wright Express. Since starting use of the card last November, the company has seen increasing demand for the card as fuel prices have risen. Fleets are also signing up to take advantage of Gate’s discount for electronic payments. Gate is making the card available to managers of commercial fleets in states the company serves: Florida, Louisiana, Georgia, North and South Carolina, Virginia, and Kentucky. Gate’s 150 sites in this region accept universal fleet cards such as those offered by Wright Express LLC. The Gate card can also be used by fleets that use 10,000 gallons or more per month. This mobile refueling service delivers fuel to a specific vehicle at a site designated by the customer. An increasingly popular program, it often is used when vehicles are out of service overnight. The Gate card can be used for these transactions as well. Gate cards can be restricted to fuel-only purchases. They also can be handled as in-store cards for local and regional fleets.
