DES PLAINES, IL – Wheels, Inc. highlighted an area of major interest for fleets across the U.S. and Canada with a Web seminar on Personal Use Management. The Web cast, "Drive Down the Costs and Challenges of Personal Use Management" was led by Dan Chengary, account manager, and John Moore, operations director, on March 7. Areas of focus included defining and determining the value of vehicle personal use, developing a personal use policy and ensuring compliance with the stated policy. A toolkit of best practices for personal use management – a highlight of the seminar – was provided for Web cast attendees. "The Web cast format is ideal for conveying valuable information to the Wheels client and prospect base in a convenient, compelling way," Chengary said. "We were able to build awareness and bring clarity to key issues tied to vehicle personal use as well as to offer a guide to best practice tools for personal use management. Also by including benchmark data within the presentation, we were able to provide solutions in helping their fleet specifically." "The nature of a Web cast is particularly effective in enabling dynamic interaction," he continued. "Questions regarding how specific government regulations affect fleets and what program should be in place to meet the requirements – an area of specific interest to those attending the personal use management seminar – can be addressed in real-time. That level of immediate response is what our audience requires and we’re pleased to be able to provide it." Moore added, "We discussed many important factors of having a personal use program including having a well-defined policy – for example, charging monthly and reconciling annually. One of the best reasons to support a company’s personal use reconciliation process is to implement a simple program that is both compliant with government regulations and reduces liability. "
