The Fleet Technology Expo is fast approaching but there’s no reason to come alone. Instead, turn a work trip into a family vacation and see what Southern California has to offer.
FTX starts on Aug. 24 and runs until Aug. 26 in Long Beach, Calif. Attendees can expect to see educational sessions on alternative fuels, fleet software, telematics and heavy-duty fleets.
But there’s much more to do throughout the area. Summers in California are hot and sunny, and fortunately, there’s plenty of ways to escape the heat.
Walk about half a mile south of the convention center and you’ll find the Aquarium of the Pacific. The aquarium is home to 500 species and over 11,000 ocean animals. There are plenty of exhibits, presentations and shows to see, and a shark and jelly fish petting station for those feeling a little more adventurous.
Since you’re in the area, you could also take advantage of being nearby the “happiest place on earth.” Drive about 30 minutes south of Long Beach to Anaheim and you’ll reach Disneyland and Disneyland California Adventure.
But before you begin planning your adventure, remember that the early registration discount for FTX ends July 24, so register before then to save $100.
