Transportation.com Launches Website
Transportation.com, an Internet marketplace that will help shippers, carriers, brokers and private fleet operators reinvent the way they do business, recently announced the launch of their website, www.transportation.com. The site offers a comprehensive selection of transportation management and logistics consulting services designed to create new revenue opportunities for its customers and streamline time-consuming business processes. Transportation.com is a joint venture between Yellow Corp., the leading Fortune 500 freight transportation service company, and the venture capital firms, TL Ventures and EnerTech Capital Partners.
Since launching on June 30, 2000, more than 1,000 companies have registered for Transportation.com services, and the number of visitors is averaging 1,800 to 2,000 a day. The site is expected to experience more than 200,000 page views within the first month of business.
Transportation.com offers a comprehensive set of services, including shipment management, load matching, equipment auctions, transportation consulting services and business center services.
