Safety-Kleen unveiled the first of more than 300 new trucks it will deploy during the next several months as part of an effort to better tailor the company’s familiar yellow trucks to the needs of its 400,000 customers throughout North America. “For the most part, Safety-Kleen is not a store front business,” said Roy Bullinger, branch sales and service president of Safety-Kleen. “That is, our customers don’t come to us – instead, we take Safety-Kleen to them. Therefore, it’s essential that we provide our employees with the equipment necessary to bring the full array of Safety-Kleen products and services right to our customer’s door-step.” Each of the six new trucks, ranging from oil tankers to Peterbilt tractors to route service vans, has been updated with new features such as greater capacity and payload, automatic transmissions, air conditioning, improved internal lighting, and increased fuel economy.
