Ram Commercial has announced a new power take-off option for the Ram Chassis Cab — a left side PTO rated at 60 horsepower of output available in gas and diesel 4x4 models.
With this addition, Ram 3500, 4500 and 5500 Chassis Cab trucks feature PTO capability on the right and left sides in both 4- and 2-wheel drive configurations with either the 6.4-liter Hemi gas or 6.7-liter Cummins diesel engines.
When used with the 6.4-liter Hemi V-8 engine, the PTO can be used while in 4-cylinder “Fuel Saver Technology” mode with the ability to run a compressor and generator simultaneously off the PTO.
“Ram Commercial has gained ground through innovation and by listening to owners,” said Dave Sowers, head of Ram Commercial. “By offering exclusive features and through constant improvement we continue our role as most upfitter friendly and Ram’s record sales are proof we’re making customers happy.”
