PHH to Implement Internet-Based Digital Imaging/Claims Management System
PHH Vehicle Management Services has implemented a comprehensive digital imaging and claims management system for its accident management clients. Powered by EazyImage, an Internet-based digital image and claims management system, PHH has the capability to receive online, real-time images of damaged vehicles. In addition to these digital images, PHH receives viewable images of the estimates and data from the repair shop that can be integrated directly into PHH’s accident and risk management applications.
This new technology is far superior to the current norm of either sending a scanned photo of the damaged vehicle via the Internet and faxing estimate information separately, or using a camera and mailing 35 mm or Polaroid images. EazyImage allows repair shops to send standardized digital images that can be viewed and enhanced in real time. At the same time, PHH receives estimate information via the Internet. Both images and estimates are totally secure and cannot be altered in any way. The integrated system works with all major estimating systems used by major insurance companies, and doesn’t require shops to purchase or use any specific estimating system.
