PHH Arval has announced enhancements to PHH InterActive for Suppliers, the company's Internet-based information management system. The system has been enhanced with XML data exchange to increase interactive capabilities between the suppliers' desktop applications and multiple PHH systems. With this new technology, suppliers can interact electronically with PHH without reinventing their own in-house systems and processes. Suppliers simply input the appropriate data into their own systems and transmit to PHH, where "artificial intelligence" capabilities check for client policy parameters and send back e-authorization or non-authorization, depending on the policy. The data exchange via the Internet takes place in three to four seconds. The new XML data exchange technology will help eliminate unnecessary calls and reduce transaction time, increasing productivity for the supplier, the customer, and PHH.
