The NAFA Fleet Management Association (NAFA) has revealed the full agenda for the 2020 Institute & Expo (I&E) Virtual Conference, Sept. 14 – 17, 2020, which is highlighted by educational panels servicing various fleet segments and networking opportunities, a cornerstone of NAFA I&E.

Over a four-day period, attendees will have access to numerous concurrent sessions, industry overview panels, and keynote presenations. Zoom social hours will also be a new addition to the Virtual I&E, and virtual networking oppurtunities will be available through the week. Registration can be accessed here.

The first day, Monday, Sept. 14, includes sessions on how automation and predictive analysis can be applied to TCO, NAFA's 11 essentials of fleet management, the art to writing an effective RFP, and more. The first day also includes the opening keynote The Hero Effect - Being your best when it matters the most, by Kevin Brown, professional leadership speaker. The keynote will address how to best achieve professional and personal goals, with a focus on growing results through expanding goal vision.
The second day, Tuesday, Sept. 15, is highlighted by The Winner’s Circle Panel, in which NAFA’s Fleet Excellence Awards (FLEXY) winners and NAFA Members tying for first place on the 100 Best Fleets list will discuss their award-winning fleet strategies. Following this are more concurrent industry panels, including how fleets can set the right expectations and goals for senior leadership, how new players in the automotive industry can support fleet management, and how fleet managers can benchmark key aspects of shop operations.
Later on Tuesday are concurrent sessions on how coaching and technology can create an effective safety culture, way to manage EV charging, and how to lead fleet through effective communication. This will be followed by a U.S. legislative update from Pat O’Connor, legislative counsel, NAFA Fleet Management Association.
The third day, Wednesday, Sept. 16, will kick off with a presentation on titled Fleet Response to COVID-19 Pandemic, where fleet managers from the corporate, government, utility, university, and law enforcement sectors will discuss and debate what worked well and what failed them in their fleet response to the pandemic. Concurrent sessions that day will focus on lifecycle cost analysis for managing fleet, how government regulations may be impacting fleet, enhancing security and transparency in a connected fleet strategy, and a case study on improving maintenance operations.
The final day, Thursday, Sept. 17, will include a State of the Fleet Industry panel discussion that will provide a high level overview of current conditions within the fleet industry. This will be moderated by Mike Antich, editor and associate publisher of Automotive Fleet magazine, and will feature a high level overview of current conditions within the fleet industry from the leadership of NAFA Fleet Management Association, the Automotive Fleet & Leasing Association (AFLA) and NTEA - The Association for the Work Truck Industry.

Concurrent sessions on the final day include success stories on fleet right-sizing, three key factors in law enforcement shop operations, and a session on work-life balance tips.
There will also be a virtual expo hall and chat lounges available for attendees through the week, continuing NAFA's emphasis on networking opportunities.
