Bruce MacLaren, senior procurement business partner for Microsoft.
MacLaren has been involved with international fleets for more than 15 years. He works with Microsoft’s Global Procurement Group. Microsoft operates 10,000 units worldwide. He began his career working in fleets for high-tech companies in Europe, where he created an international fleet for Cisco Systems.
At Microsoft, he took a decentralized fleet concept and created a central-led global program, which resulted in over $30 million in savings, increased control and improved customer satisfaction. MacLaren received the “International Fleet Manager of the Year” award in 2010 from Fleet Europe magazine. He sits on international award juries, is a regular speaker at many international conventions, and was inducted into the Fleet Europe Hall of Fame in 2012.
