Automakers are increasingly debuting new vehicles and technology at CES, and this year will be no different, especially for Mercedes-Benz. The German automaker will show its new CLA sedan, EQC battery-electric SUV, and Vision Urbanetic cargo van concept at the show, which from from Jan. 8-11.
The CLA fastback-style sedan would enter its second generation. Mercedes-Benz introduced it as a 2014-MY vehicle to provide a sportier wagon-inspired sedan with a more affordable price tag than the C-Class sedan.
Mercedes-Benz released scant details about the vehicle beyond a teaser photo that shows a sloping roof that resembles the new A-Class. The vehicle will reportedly get MBUX, the company's next-gen infotainment system with an A.I.-powered assistant that can understand natural speech.
The EQC, which was announced in September, will get its first showing in the U.S. It will compete with the Audi E-Tron and Jaguar I-Pace among a growing segment of performance-oriented luxury SUVs powered by electricity.
The Vision Urbanetic van concepts were initially shown in September to provide switchable bodies that can accommodate various cargo set-ups.
