Mercedes-Benz Electric EQC Retails for $68,895
Mercedes-Benz will offer its 2020 EQC battery-electric crossover as the brand's first fully electric vehicle in the U.S. starting in early 2020 with a starting retail price of $68,895.

Here's a closer look at the Mercedes-Benz 2020 EQC, the first fully electric vehicle to carry a three-point star.

Mercedes-Benz will offer its 2020 EQC battery-electric crossover as the brand's first fully electric vehicle in the U.S. starting in early 2020 with a starting retail price of $68,895, the company announced ahead of the Los Angeles Auto Show.
Mercedes-Benz will offer the vehicle as a single trim grade, the EQC 400 4Matic, with standard all-wheel drive. The retail price includes a $995 delivery charge.
Expected range will be about 200 miles.
The innovative vehicle will use a pair of electric drivertrains on each axle to generate 402 horsepower and 561 pound-feet of peak torque. The drivetrains have been configured differently with the front system designed to optimize efficiency for low to medium loads. The rear system is designed to create a sporty driving experience.
The vehicle will include the newest generation MBUX infotainment system that will display electric driving data points such as range, charge status, and energy flow. The routing engine will calculate the most efficient path for any trip using EQ optimized navigation and Mercedes me Charge features.
Using a fast-charging station, the EQC can reach an 80% charge in about 40 minutes. With a 240-volt circuit, a full charge would take 10 hours.
The vehicle would compete with Auto's E-tron Quattro, Jaguar's I-Pace, BMW's iX3, and Tesla's lineup.
