McCarthy Building Companies, a privately held builder in St. Louis, has signed an agreement to procure claims management services from driversshield.com FS, the fleet services unit of driversshield.com Corp. McCarthy, founded in 1864, is a builder of health care and other institutional facilities, but also builds bridges, water and waste treatment plants, industrial facilities, parking garages, and residential facilities. The company operates a fleet of about 500 cars and light trucks, for which driversshield.com FS Corp., the wholly owned fleet services subsidiary of driversshield.com Corp., has contracted to provide claims management services. In May 2001, the fleet services unit signed a contract to provide claims management services for the 750-vehicle fleet of Cable Constructors Inc. of Iron Mountain, Michigan, a national broadband construction firm that provides design, mapping, construction, and technical services to the broadband community. Clients of its fleet unit include Coca-Cola, Time Warner, IBM, Hershey Foods, and Cablevision.
