Mazda's 2020 CX-30 SUV will arrive with engine power that's comparable to the base model of the larger CX-5 compact SUV (186 horsepower), Mazda announced during the unveiling of the vehicle on Wednesday ahead of the Los Angeles Auto Show.

The CX-30 will go on sale in 2020 with a starting price of $22,945, which includes a $1,045 delivery fee, in most states.

The CX-30 will be powered by a 2.5-liter Skyactive-G four-cylinder engine that's paired iwth a six-speed Skyactive-Drive automatic transmission. An all-wheel drivetrain can be added to standard front-wheel drive.

Mazda will offer four trim grades, including base, Select, Preferred, and Premium. When equipped with AWD, Premium tops out at $30,645.

Along with the CX-30, Mazda is enhancing connectivity by introducing Mazda Connected Services as standard. Using the MyMazda mobile app, users will be able to remotely lock or unlock doors, remotely start the engine, and monitor vehicle status items such as oil and fuel levels or tire pressure.
