Manheim Auctions Launches Restructured Logistics Company

Manheim Auctions on March 9, 2001 unveiled its newly restructured Remarketing Solutions, a “one-stop shopping service” for national consignors to outsource their remarketing needs. Remarketing Solutions encompasses services such as vehicle resale management, professional title transfers and conversions, recovery and transportation of vehicles, and lease termination services. Nick Peluso is president of Remarketing Solutions. Chief operating officer will be Dave DeWolf, who will report directly to Peluso. Prior to overseeing the operations for Remarketing Solutions, DeWolf was general manager for ADT Automotive’s Service Solutions. Under the Remarketing Solutions umbrella, clients can take advantage of a variety of services, available individually or as a package. These services include: Recovery Solution - (Formerly ADT Repossession Solutions, ADT Skip Trace Solutions & TVS) Recovery Solution includes a network of more than 500 repossession agents nationwide. Service includes transportation to any location and full coverage liability insurance. Kem Morris heads the Recovery Solution unit, overseeing all aspects of repossession for Remarketing Solutions. Prior to this position, Morris was vehicle remarketing manager at ADT Automotive. Inspection Solution - This service was formed by combining Lemon Busters and Service Solutions. Inspection Solution offers inspections such as end-of-lease, retail pre-purchase inspections, dealer inspections, and warranty claims inspections. Inspection Solution offers mobile and fixed-site services nationwide. It offers lessors the ability to have end-of-term vehicles inspected and fees collected at either fixed or mobile sites. Executive director is Fred Beyer. Beyer began his career with GE Auctions, which was purchased by Manheim Auctions in 1991. Auction Solution -- (Formerly ADT Remarketing Solutions, TVS & CAM) Auction Solution is able to offer national, regional, and local consignors the ability to monitor online the status of every vehicle in their remarketing portfolio in real time. With a network of more than 150 Manheim/allied auctions, Auction Solution offers its clients competitive transportation rates and standardized auction fees. Debbie Fossett is manager of Auction Solution. Fossett held numerous positions within ADT Automotive, including controller for Remarketing Solutions and business manager for ADT’s truck and equipment auctions. Transport Solution - Formerly, ATI Auction Transport Inc.) With a fleet of more than 200 company-owned/owner-operated vehicles and a coast-to-coast network of terminals, Transport Solution can coordinate services such as the transfer of vehicles from dealerships to auctions and off-lease returns to any location in the country. Responsible for this unit is Dick Miller. Prior to his position as director of Transport Solution, Miller was a regional manager for ADT Automotive Inc. Title Solution - (Formerly ADT Title Solutions, TVS, CAM) Title Solution has the ability to obtain duplicate or lost titles, repossession titles, and address title problems in all 50 states, as well as arrange for new fleet vehicle registration for several locations. Acquired by Manheim Auctions after its purchase of ADT Automotive in 2000, Remarketing Solutions provides vehicle remarketing resources for national auction consignors such as banks, lending institutions, manufacturers, leasing companies and company-owned fleets, as well as other high-volume users of vehicles. Remarketing Solutions is based in Nashville, TN, and operates offices in Louisville, KY, and Austin, TX with more than 500 employees, most of whom have held positions with the former ADT Automotive companies since their inception.
