Manheim has announced that Nick Boris has been promoted to general manager of Utah Auto Auction in Woods Cross, Utah; Joann McKay has been promoted to auction manager of Baltimore-Washington Auto Auction in Elkridge, Md.; Scott Florio has been promoted to assistant general manager of Newburgh Auto Auction in Newburgh, N.Y.; and Mike Schaefer has been promoted to assistant general manager of American Auto Auction in North Dighton, Mass.
Boris previously served on Manheim’s corporate reconditioning business development team. He joined Manheim in 1993 as a management trainee at Bishop Brothers Auto Auction in Atlanta. In 1995, he was promoted to fleet/lease manager. Three years later, he became fleet/lease manager at Kansas City Auto Auction in Kansas City, Mo. In 1999, he transferred to Cincinnati Auto Auction in Hamilton, Ohio, as assistant general manager. A year later, he was promoted to general manager of the facility, a position he held until January 2003 when he began working on special projects as part of the reconditioning business development team.
