ALPHARETTA, GA – LeasePlan USA sponsored the first Atlanta Children's Shelter's "Strides of March" 5K Run/Walk Event to support efforts to break the cycle of homelessness.

ALPHARETTA, GA – LeasePlan USA sponsored the first-ever Atlanta Children's Shelter's (ACS) "Strides of March" 5K Run/Walk Event.
The event, held March 8, benefits the ACS and its efforts to break the cycle of homelessness. The funds raised will help the ACS provide free day care, food, clothing, and support services to homeless families.

LeasePlan employees also participated in the walk, with Team LeasePlan earning first place for having every member of the team finish before all of the other teams. Other employees volunteered during the event by assisting with registration and handing out T-shirts.
"We are pleased to again be in a position to support the Atlanta Children's Shelter with their fundraising efforts," said Mike Pitcher, president and CEO for LeasePlan USA. "I am extremely proud of the time and effort that our employees have put into supporting this much-needed organization."
Since 1986, Atlanta Children's Shelter has cared for more than 7,700 children and helped guide more than 5,050 formerly-homeless families to self-sufficiency.
