I.D. Systems Inc., a provider of end-to-end wireless asset management solutions, has received a purchase order from Ryder Ground Fleet Services to provide a pilot “Driver and Vehicle Tracking System” for British Airways’ fleet of ground support equipment (GSE). The pilot system is scheduled for implementation on a test group of vehicles at London Gatwick Airport during the first quarter of 2001, with subsequent expansion to approximately 3,000 pieces of equipment at both Gatwick and London Heathrow airports. Ryder Ground Fleet Services, a unit of Ryder Plc, the UK arm of Ryder System Inc., provides maintenance for British Airways’ GSE fleet.
