Gasoline Inches Higher to $3.69 Per Gallon
The national average price of gasoline rose 1.6 cents to $3.69 per gallon for the week ending June 2, according to federal data. The price of gasoline now sits 4.4 cents above its year-ago level.

The national average price of gasoline rose 1.6 cents to $3.69 per gallon for the week ending June 2, according to federal data.
The price of gasoline now sits 4.4 cents above its year-ago level, reports the U.S. Energy Information Administration. The price of gasoline was mixed in the nine sub-regions tracked by the agency, which is part of the U.S. Department of Energy. The price rose the five non-East Coast regions and fell in the four East Coast regions. The sharpest rise came in the Midwest, where the price rise 6.2 cents to $3.713.
The average price of regular unleaded gasoline now costs at least $3.50 in 34 of the 50 states and the District of Columbia, according to the AAA's Daily Fuel Gauge Report.
Meanwhile, the average price of diesel fuel fell seventh-tenths of a cent to $3.918 per gallon. Diesel fuel is now 4.6 cents higher that it was a year ago.
