FleetCor Technologies announced on Dec. 18, 2000 that it has extended its Fuelman Fleet Card network into South Florida. Kingsley McCallum, the company’s founder, is the owner of this new licensee operation, Automated Fuel Technologies. The new licensee began taking on new clients as of Jan. 1, 2001. Fuelman of South Florida has spent the last several months building its first three automated fueling locations (in Ft. Lauderdale and Miami) and lining up 100 retail merchant sites. The new territory covers 13 South Florida counties, with its northern border stretching just below Ft. Meyers on the Gulf Coast across the state to Vero Beach on the East Coast.
