Fleet Technology Expo Replacing Green Fleet Conference
Although no longer named Green Fleet Conference, the first-annual Fleet Technology Expo in August will include education on alternative fuels, while two additional session tracks — Fleet Analytics and Heavy Duty — will expand the available education and expo floor offerings.

Automotive Fleet, Green Fleet and Heavy Duty Trucking are expanding what was formerly known as Green Fleet Conference & Expo into the all-new Fleet Technology Expo (FTX) on Aug. 24-26 in Long Beach, Calif.
FTX is for all fleet types that are looking for ways to improve operational efficiencies. Educational sessions will cover topics ranging from how to turn telematics reports into actionable data to alternative-fuel topics, and ways other software, strategies and equipment can help a fleet streamline operations.
“In a dynamic industry like fleet, it is important to stay up to date and focus on the biggest challenges that fleets are dealing with. Right now, optimizing efficiency is one of the biggest challenges,” said Sherb Brown, vice president and group publisher for Automotive Fleet, Bobit Business Media.
Although it is no longer named Green Fleet Conference, there will be a special track designated for converting to and maintaining an alternative-fuel fleet. But two additional tracks, Fleet Analytics and Heavy Duty, will expand the available education and expo floor offerings.
“Alternative-fuel adoption is important, but it is only one piece to the puzzle when it comes to making your fleet more efficient,” Brown said.
The Fleet Analytics track will cover new software and innovative web-based fleet management services including telematics and how these services are being utilized by fleets to save money and time.
The Heavy Duty track will focus on over-the-road fleets. Panelists will discuss how powertrain updates, aerodynamics, certain maintenance practices and other tools available to heavy-duty fleets can lead to fuel efficiency.
FTX will provide an expo hall where all the latest vehicles, equipment, products and technology will be on display. Attendees will also get to test out some of the most current vehicles during the Ride and Drive Event.
