Interleasing, the oldest fleet alliance, celebrates its 30th anniversary with change of name to Fleet Synergy International (FSI). Hans Damen, International sales manager of FSI, said the name change matched the scale and scope of the organization. “We are far more than an international leasing company," he said. “While leasing is an important element of the total service offered by our members, we focus above all on cost control and providing our customers with innovative fleet solutions at both a global and local level.” Fleet Synergy International offers global solutions to fleet operators. Based in Belgium, the organization's International Co-ordination Centre works with selected partners in different countries throughout Europe, North and South America, Asia, and Australia. Collectively, the organization has more than 600,000 vehicles under management. The U.S. partner company is Wheels Inc. FSI has also added new partners in other countries: - France (Autop France) and Germany (Autop Deutschland), both a part of the Athlon Group. - Portugal (BBVA Finanziamento) and Spain (BBVA Finanzia), part of the BBVA banking group. - Norway (Nordea Finance Norway), Poland (Nordea Finance Polska), and the Baltic states (Nordea Finance Estonia, Lithuania, and Latvia), all Nordea Finance subsidiaries. - UK (Lloyds TSB autolease), part of Lloyds TSB Group.
