Interested in electrifying your medium- and heavy-duty fleet vehicles but need help figuring out infrastructure and partnerships? Join this Fleet Forward: the Tour seminar to help you take charge and create a plan to harness EV power on a larger scale.
For California fleets, regulations such as CARB's Advanced Clean Fleets rule are taking effect. However, planning the integration of heavy-duty zero-emissions vehicles (ZEVs) into a fleet can be a looming task for the uninitiated, as it requires massive power, sophisticated infrastructure buildouts, and dedicated internal and external partners.
During this seminar, an expert can help attendees with questions, such as: Why are microgrids important? Where and how do you start your charging infrastructure plan based on your fleet parameters and use cases? How can electricity be managed as a fuel?
David Renschler, public works fleet division manager for the city of Fairfield and the lead consultant for EVSE Answers LLC, will share his insights on medium- and heavy-duty ZEVs in fleets. Renschler has over 30 years in the fleet industry, most of which have been spent in government service. He currently leads a team of 24 that keeps approximately 700 units in the city's fleet safe, serviceable, and on the road.
"David is part of a select group who've been in the trenches," said Chris Brown, conference chair. "He's done the work, and for his team electrifying commercial EVs is not theoretical - it's real. David will have practical solutions in this seminar."
Fleet Forward: the Tour will convene a one-day event on June 12 at the Doubletree Port of Los Angeles. The event will address ACF and other regulations, provide insights and solutions for fleet compliance, and updates on building charging infrastructure for heavy-duty applications and managing multiple utilities.
Held in conjunction with NAFA-the Fleet Management Association, the June 12 Tour stop agenda includes seminars, tabletop exhibits, networking, lunch, and a vehicle ride and drive. Registration is free for fleet operators. See who else is in the lineup and register for the event.
This year, the Tour consists of a West and East Coast event. The second Tour stop will be in Somerset, N.J., on Sept. 10.
