Fiat Chrysler Automobiles will offer a rebadged base Pacifica minivan that will be sold exclusively to fleets as the 2020 Chrysler Voyager LXi, the company announced.
The fleet-only vehicle, which is expected to gain traction in daily rental, will be one of three Voyager models that arrive to replace the L and LX trims of the Pacifica, which is being rebooted for 2020. Voyager L and LX models will have fewer features than Pacifica minivans to provide greater value to customers, but they won't be replacing the Dodge Grand Caravan, CNET reported.
The Voyager LXi will offer leatherette seats, remote start, a security alarm, a roof rack, second-row sunshades, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror, as well as Stow 'n' Go seats for the second row that can be completely folded down.
The fleet model may also find its way into paratransit fleets. BraunAbility rear- and side-entry conversions offer a wider entryway and more interior space, with an enhanced ramp securement system, passenger seat flexibility and room for large power wheelchairs and scooters.
Voyager models will be powered by the same powertrain found in the Pacifica, which includes a Pentastar V-6 gasoline engine capable of making 287 horsepower and 262 lb.-ft. of torque that's mated to a TorqueFlite nine-speed transmission.
