Eclipse Cross Makes Compact SUV Trio for Mitsubishi
The 2018 Eclipse Cross joins Mitsubishi’s growing lineup of compact SUVs that also includes the Outlander and Outlander Sport.

Mitsubishi unveiled its 2018 Eclipse Cross Compact Utility Vehicle (CUV) ahead of the Los Angeles Auto Show. The vehicle joins Mitsubishi’s growing lineup of compact SUVs that also includes the Outlander and Outlander Sport.
The Eclipse Cross is powered by a 1.5L direct-injected turbo engine and a new version of the company’s Super All Wheel Control all-wheel-drive system.
The vehicle includes a dual-pane power-sliding panoramic roof, 7-inch smartphone link thin display controlled via touchpad, full-color head-up display, and heated rear seats. The vehicle on display featured premium red diamond premium metallic paint.
The Eclipse Cross will be the first vehicle compatible with Mitsubishi Connect, an embedded telematics control unit that allows users to subscribe to services. The Safeguard services package includes Automatic Collision Notification, SOS Emergency Assistance, Information Assistance, Roadside Assistance, Stolen Vehicle Assistance, Alarm Notification, and Mileage Tracker. The Remote services package includes Remote Climate Control, Remote Door Lock/Unlock, Remote Horn, Remote Lights, Car Finder, Vehicle Settings, and Parental Controls.
The 2018 Eclipse Cross will retail for $23,295. The company also displayed its Outlander PHEV, slated for release in December, and the Re-Model A, which resembles its Model A, the first mass-produced vehicle in Japan that turns 100 this year.
