Dunn-Edwards Fleet Single-Sources to GM
The fleet at Dunn-Edwards Corp. in Los Angeles will be all General Motors for the 2002-model year. Fleet Administrator Dominick Susca said that when planning his 2002 selector list, he called his Ford, DaimlerChrysler, and GM fleet sales representatives and told them he was going to choose one manufacturer for 2002. All three of the manufacturers responded to Susca with rebate plans. The fleet at Dunn-Edwards historically included vehicles from all three automakers. General Motors was chosen and Susca said the sedan on the selector list will be the Chevrolet Malibu, the van will be the Chevrolet Venture, and the truck will be the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 extended cab. “I think we’re going to save some big bucks,” Susca told Automotive Fleet. Susca, who oversees a fleet of about 320 vehicles, said the fleet will buy 75-plus vehicles a year.
