The 2021 Fleet Forward Conference, convening in person at the Hayes Mansion in San Jose Nov. 10-12, announces that Lightning eMotors will have its Lightning Electric Cargo Van for attendees to drive and experience.
The van is part of the conference’s Innovation in Motion, sponsored by Element — a new, interactive experience featuring EV ride and drives, technology displays, and autonomous vehicle demonstrations. Innovation in Motion will take place on Nov. 11 from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Lightning Electric Cargo Van is built on the Ford Transit 350HD Cargo Van chassis. The van is available to buyers with versions offering 140-mile and 170- mile ranges, as well as a hydrogen fuel-cell version with a 250-mile range. The vehicle can be spec'd with a GVWR of 10,360 or 11,000 lbs.
The present list of participants for Innovation in Motion includes Ford, Volvo, Lightning eMotors, Roush CleanTech, and ELMS. Innovation in Motion will also include displays from BrightDrop and Waymo’s autonomous semi as well as Beam’s solar mobile charging station. More will be added soon.
“Innovation in Motion will be the technology hub for fleets,” said Chris Brown, conference chair. “Fleets will walk away with firsthand knowledge of electric vehicles and new products for more informed buying decisions.”
