Merritt Applications Inc., the developer of eFleetManager and Merritt MVR, has signed a partnership agreement with Defender Fleet Services, formally known as Salex Inc., an automotive management company. The partnership will allow Defender Fleet Services to work with Merritt Applications to provide the Merritt Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) program to fleet organizations. Merritt MVR is an Internet-based product that offers automatic, online driver authorizations for MVR reports. It also requests and delivers to fleets graded and sorted MVRs. Merritt MVR streamlines the process by gathering driver authorizations, and connecting to individual U.S. states and Canadian provinces to request motor vehicle records. Additionally, Merritt MVR provides online MVR reports with summaries. The data can be graded and sorted and is available 24/7 using the Merritt MVR’s administrative Web interface. Merritt MVR allows views of driver MVR records several ways: by new hires, by week or month of all new MVR order dates, by region, division, product line, or driver type, by “risk status” to view drivers with high-risk records, or by a specific violation that a fleet defines as critical. Under the agreement, Merritt Applications will continue to develop and support the technology, and Defender Fleet Services will offer Merritt MVR to its cus-tomers.
