DaimlerChrysler Services North America LLC, the financial services arm of DaimlerChrysler AG, launched three co-branded classic and platinum credit cards targeted to current and aspiring Chrysler, Jeep, and Dodge owners. The Rewards cards are co-branded with Visa, which is accepted at many locations worldwide. The cards also offer an introductory rate as low as 3.9 percent, no annual fee, and reward cardholders with points every time a purchase is charged. In addition to the five points earned for each dollar spent on purchases charged at participating Chrysler, Jeep, and Dodge dealers and the one point for other purchases, cardholders can now earn three points per dollar at Exxon and Mobil service stations across the United States. Points can be redeemed for certificates, which are used in Chrysler Group dealerships like cash for service, merchandise, quality Mopar parts, and a broad range of accessories. Additionally, cardholders can turn plastic into metal by applying points earned toward the purchase or lease of any new or used Chrysler Group vehicle. Consumers can apply online by visiting www.chryslercreditcard.com, www.jeepcreditcard.com or www.dodgecreditcard.com, or stopping by their local Chrysler Group dealership to pick up an application. Using secure encryption technology, cardholders can benefit from the convenience of online access. By logging into the Web site, they can view recent account activity, current account balance, and the number of accumulated reward points. Associated with the launch of the Rewards Visa Card is the chance to win one of three 2002-model-year vehicles: a PT Cruiser, Jeep Liberty, or the newly designed Dodge Ram truck. One of the benefits to cardholders is automatic entry into a national sweepstake for each purchase or cash advance that is posted to the card.
