Cowboy State Backs Off EV Lasso
A resolution in the Wyoming legislature to ban sales of electric vehicles after 2035 dies in committee.

Yippie-yi-yay-yippie-yi-yo: Electric vehicles prove more hardy than wild horses and cattle, as the Wyoming legislature backs off a proposal to phase out EV car sales by 2035.

The Wyoming Legislature put forward a resolution on Jan. 13 to phase out sales of new electric vehicles in the Cowboy State by 2035.
The resolution’s sponsors say Senate Joint Resolution 4 is a response to laws other states are implementing to eliminate gas-powered vehicles.
Alas, such nose-thumbing at U.S. efforts to adopt electric vehicles will just be symbolic as local news reports indicate SJ4 died in committee after pushback from the Wyoming Dealership Association, Democratic state representatives, and the Wyoming Outdoor Council.
