Central Mass Auto Auction Signs with AutoIMS
Auto Auction Services Corp. (AASC) announced Central Mass Auto Auction in Oxford, MA, is its newest member auction. Auction co-owner Barbara Saad said Central Mass will integrate AASC’s AutoIMS Web-enabled inventory management system with its internal systems. “We have been writing reports on the AutoIMS system since October,” says Saad, who co-owns the auction with her brother, Michael. “The LiveCRwriter (electronic condition reporting program) has additional fields that our current internal system doesn’t have.” In the future, Saad anticipates the auction’s CR writers will enter condition reports directly into AASC’s LiveCRwriter program on the lot via handheld computers, “which will really speed things up for us. Our volume has grown significantly,” she says. “The AutoIMS system will play a major role in the internal system at our new facility, opening in April.” With its two other newest members – Bay Auto Auction in Bay City, MI, and Montpelier Auto Auction of Ohio, both owned by Robert Hubregsen – AutoIMS.com now numbers 213 member auc-tions. More than 30 member auctions also host real-time auctions and fixed-price sales on AASC’s LiveLane, www.livelane.com, and LiveLot.
