The DECKED campaign for the Dad Time Off contest ended on 6/27.
DECKED is based in Ketchum, Idaho, with manufacturing facilities in Defiance, Ohio, and St. George, Utah.
DECKED designs, engineers, and manufactures storage and organization products for tradespeople, and outdoor enthusiasts. DECKED has dedicated time to making work out of trucks and vans more efficient, safe, and convenient.
DECKED debuted a new Dad Time Off campaign, more commonly known as DTO. The program is designed to allow working dads to spend more time with their kids.
The new initiative puts out a call-to-action across the U.S., nominating hard-working dads that could use an opportunity to skip out on one day’s work — all in order to create memories with their kids. DECKED will then reimburse a day's worth of lost wages for the 100 selected dads.
“We know the moments that matter most often come at a cost,” said Bridget Noonan, Senior Brand Director at DECKED. “For many working dads, being present for their kids can mean missing out on a paycheck. So, for at least one day, we want to eliminate that tough choice for dads, allowing them to get after it and create memorable moments with their family.”
Survey Finds Dads are Sacrificing Family Moments for Work
DECKED conducted a new study shedding light on the distressing dilemma that many dads face. In a survey of over 1,000 U.S. fathers, nearly two-thirds (65%) say they have missed an important event or activity with their kids because of work.
Many times, they’re still feeling monetary stress despite sacrificing time with their loved ones. More than two in five dads (43%) say they feel financial pressure when they take time off from work to spend time with their kids.
“DECKED is a brand focused on getting folks ready for what’s next, allowing them to maximize the time spent doing what they love,” said Noonan. “With DTO, we want to bring awareness to this troubling trend, so that fathers can be ready to tackle their most important job: being a dad.”
When DECKED asked dads about the most helpful factors that would allow them to spend more time with their kids, three in five (60%) said that a few more days of PTO or a flexible work schedule would be the biggest help.
Nominations Open for DTO Program
For those interested in the DTO program, you simply need to nominate yourself or a dad in your life via decked.com/DTO. DECKED will review all submissions and select 100 dads who will receive full reimbursement for a day’s worth of lost wages.
DECKED products are designed for resourceful, prepared, and reliable individuals. Every system is backed by a lifetime warranty and 5-star customer reviews. DECKED has sold more than 330,000 products and is committed to quality and durability.
