MT. LAUREL, NJ - ARI employees contributed more than $570,000. With 1,800 employees in South Jersey, Holman Automotive is the first company to donate more than one million dollars to this United Way chapter.
MT. LAUREL, NJ – ARI, a leading global fleet services provider specializing in complex car and truck fleets, along with parent company Holman Automotive Group, pledged $1,092,457 to the United Way of Camden County, New Jersey during its 2012 campaign. ARI employees contributed more than $570,000. With 1,800 employees in South Jersey, Holman Automotive is the first company to donate more than one million dollars to this United Way chapter.
Likewise, related and unrelated volunteer efforts connected ARI employees with deserving organizations from September through December, as set forth in founder Steward Holman’s mission to “give back to the communities that support their success.”
In conjunction with the United Way fundraising campaign, more than forty ARI employees donated their time to Holman-organized “Days of Caring” that involved interacting with residents of a senior community, cooking at a soup kitchen, boxing food for needy families, and landscaping work at a school for students with special needs.
Aside from the United Way campaign, additional community service projects were corporate run or organized by employees. Again, more than forty employees help assemble the first “boundless” playground in South Jersey. Plus, employees adopted ten local needy families for the holidays and purchased both practical gifts and those on the families’ dream lists. Also, two drives were made to collect coats and blankets for the homeless in Philadelphia and pet supplies for a local animal welfare shelter.
“Our company acts on a corporate principle for philanthropy,” said ARI Senior Vice President and Chief Quality Officer Bill Kwelty, “Our employees embody the same commitment to their neighbors, and we are extremely proud of the significant contributions they make, giving financial, hands-on and emotional support to those less fortunate than themselves.”
