AMI Leasing has upgraded several of its insurance and safety programs in an effort to help customers reduce claim-processing time and improve fleet safety. Accident reports can now be filed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year via the Web site. E-mail notification is forwarded to the Insurance Department upon completion of form. Fleet Managers can also receive e-mail reports to monitor repairs. Accident reports have been set up in a data file that can be e-mailed to customers to be completed. Customers can store this data file on their computers as well as distribute it to field operations. Loss run reports can be converted from data files to customized spreadsheets, and forwarded to fleet managers for analysis to track costs. A national vendor database has been established to process claims in outlying areas. The database rates vendors on cost, quality of repairs, and speed of repairs. Sub par vendors are eliminated from the database. Defensive Driver Training is now offered via the Internet. The training module allows drivers to complete the course at their own pace. Any customer with Internet net access on a work computer or home computer can access training. The training is geared at reducing accidents before they occur.
