A survey of 1,000 adults found that 69 percent favor a ban on using a cell phone while driving. The survey, conducted by Roper Starch Worldwide for the Insurance Research Council, revealed that 91 percent consider the use of a cell phone while driving a distraction that leads to more accidents. Only 35 percent say that any law that prohibits the use of cell phone while driving would be obeyed. The survey also found that 42 percent use the cell phone while driving, down from 61 percent in a similar survey three years ago.
