Aisha Cox Named National Fleet Manager for Tesla Energy

Tesla Energy

Aisha Cox was named national fleet manager for Tesla Energy, effective February 2022. Cox will oversee the lifecycle of 1,500-plus company-managed, owned, and leased vehicles for Tesla’s Energy Division. She manages and directs defined aspects of Tesla’s fleet operations and oversees policy compliance and reporting as it relates to the fleet. She also developed and implemented vehicle and equipment specifications and cost management programs by managing fleet department budgets as well as developing and maintaining outside vendor and service provider relationships.

In consultation with company stakeholders, Cox initiates, monitors, and recommends adjustments to the fleet policy in order to maximize the fleet’s efficiency and profitability, reducing the liability exposure and following industry-best practices. This includes acquisition, maintenance, and remarketing as determined by cost-effective lifecycle analysis.

Prior to this, Cox was director of fleet strategies for Emkay, Inc. from March 2020 to February 2022. While at Emkay, Cox was responsible for new business development for the Southwest region plus account management responsibility for selected clients within a geographical area. She was responsible for all new business development for fleets ranging from 50-1,500 units, as well as having account manager responsibilities.

In the account management aspect of her role at Emkay, she maintained complete ownership of selected accounts, provided proactive consulting, providing strategic recommendations to drive account process efficiencies while taking cost out, making policy recommendations, identifying and closing new service opportunities, and conducting quarterly client meetings and web training.
