TORONTO, ONTARIO – AirIQ Inc., a wireless location services company specializing in telematics and security, intends to appoint Steve Willey to the role of president and CEO. Willey, an AirIQ Board member since 2001, has been leading the company on an “interim” basis since February 2007. Willey comes to AirIQ from a NASDAQ-listed company with whom he has been associated since 1993, most recently as president, Asia – sales and marketing.

Willey has served on the audit, compensation, and governance committees of the company, and he has been the interim chief executive officer since Feb. 22, 2007.

Also, Don Simmonds, who has been executive chairman of the Board of Directors following the retirement of Peter Bradshaw, will become chairman and transition from involvement at an operational level. Simmonds will chair a Board that includes the recently appointed David Vaughn and Robert Metcalfe. Randy Reynolds (former president of Bell West Inc. and executive of Rogers Communications Inc.) has also been recommended to the shareholders by the company to be elected as a director.
