CoMotion LA, which brings together global leaders of the urban mobility revolution to Los Angeles, will take place at ROW DTLA on Nov. 14 and Nov. 15, 2019. The third edition of this event is expecting around 2,000 attendees from over 40 countries.

This year’s event will feature themes around green transport, micromobility, autonomy, eVTOL, MaaS, and inclusive transportation.

Speakers include Eric Garcetti, mayor of Los Angeles; Charles L Harrington, CEO of Parsons; Seleta Reynolds, general manager at LADOT; Heather Thompson, CEO of ITDP; Jay Walder, CEO of Virgin Hyperloop One; Phil Washington, CEO of LA Metro; and Scott Wiener, state senator in California.

CoMotion will offer both conference participants and the general public a look at the city’s new mobility corridor. Running for nearly a mile down Alameda Street in Downtown Los Angeles, special lanes will allow people to use a variety of new mobility vehicles in a real-world setting, with cross traffic and pedestrians.

Participating vehicles include micromobility devices (electric scooters, ebikes, and one-wheels) as well as hydrogen-powered buses, smart shuttles, and electric cars. Presented in partnership with the Los Angeles Department of Transportation, this will mark the first time these new technologies are demonstrated to the public on real city streets.

"By moving to such an iconic location as ROW DTLA, one of the most important urban development projects in the U.S., we are taking CoMotion LA to the next level," said John Rossant, founder and CEO of CoMotion. "And we are incredibly excited to be working with our friends at the Los Angeles Department of Transportation to roll out the New Mobility Corridor on Alameda Street -- it's the first such corridor in the world for innovative mobility vehicles."
