Entering its sixth-generation, the all-new 2017 Hyundai Elantra SE starts at $17,150, this is $100 less than the outgoing model, which was priced at $17,250.
The 2017 is offered in three trim levels, including SE, Eco, and Limited. The base model and Limited trim levels come with the all-new 2.0L Nu MPI Atkinson cycle four-cylinder engine producing 147 hp and 132 lb.-ft. of torque. The engine is mated with a 6-speed manual transmission or the 6-speed automatic transmission with Shiftronic. The latter SE model is priced at $18,150.

This new Shifttronic powertrain helps the Elantra SE achieve an Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) fuel economy rating of 33 mpg combined.
The SE trim will be available with a Popular Equipment package as well as a Tech package. New in to the vehicle and included in the Tech package are features such as blind spot detection with rear traffic alerts, and a hands-free smart trunk.
The Elantra Limited trim level is priced at $23,185. Available for that trim level is the Limited Ultimate package with features such as an integrated memory system for the driver sear and outside mirrors, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, and more.
All prices exclude freight charges ($835).
Details known about the Eco trim are that it features an all-new 1.4L Kappa turbocharged GDI four-cylinder engine with an EcoShift seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Pricing for the Eco trim level will be available in the spring and pricing will be announced at a later date, according to a release from the automaker.

The new Elantra is also equipped with seven standard airbags. A Sport model of the vehicle will be appearing later in 2016, according to the automaker.
